Sico America in Minneapolis Orders Robotic Automation for China Facility
Minneapolis, Minn. – September 7, 2007 – Sico Incorporated and PRI Robotics Inc.
today announced the ordering of Sico’s first welding robot for their Beijing, China
facility. “Our previous robotic welding systems were justified mainly as a result of
direct labor savings and reduced inventory, made possible by the increased
throughput. The system we have ordered for our China facility was justified as a
result of the consistent quality that robotic welding produces” says Jim Pugh,
Manufacturing Manager at Sico America.

PRI Robotics & SICK join up to host an Open House at SICK, Inc's US headquarters in Bloomington Minnesota
On October 18th, 2007, visitors to SICK, Inc's HQ will get a chance to get up close and interact with at the SICK 3D Smart Camera with a FANUC Six-Axis Robotic Solution recently displayed at the 2007 Robots & Vision Show in Rosemont, Illinois. PRI Robotics designed and built the robotic system using the FANUC M-16iB/20 robot and ATI's quick-change components that automatically changes between four different SICK 3D vision cameras.
PRI Robotics designed and built the robotic system showcased at SICK's booth during the recent Robots & Vision Show in Rosemont, Illinois. The FANUC M-16iB/20 robot utilized ATI's quick-change components to automatically change between four different SICK 3D vision cameras. SICK demonstrated vision-guided robot bin picking of randomly located objects. This emerging application enables a vision-guided robot arm to find and pick individual parts placed at random in a container or bin. A unique vision inspection application was also demonstrated during the show.

PRI Robotics and Horn Machine Tools join up to a host a Sneak Preview Open House at PRI's Headquarters in Plymouth
On October 23rd, 2007 you are cordially invited to attend an open house at the PRI Headquarters in Plymouth, MN.
