Vision Camera Systems Increase Flexibility and Quality Control

  • If you want to create additional flexibility without additional tooling for your current equipment, then vision systems can provide you with additional flexibility.  Using a vision system, your operator can simply set parts on a conveyor or infeed station and the robot will use the vision system to locate and pickup the part.

  • Is pre/post process inspection a critical part of your automated systems? As more processes become automated, the ability to find and dispose of bad parts becomes even more important. Using vision systems, parts can be measured, inspected for defects, and removed from a system.

In the past, vision systems have been expensive and cumbersome to work with.  PRI Robotics recognized these issues, and has moved towards the use of “smart cameras” to create simpler and more cost effective solutions.
